Advanced Rider Course (ARC) - Livonia

Advanced RiderCourse (ARC) | Experienced, Endorsed Riders (Schoolcraft College)

This course is designed for experienced, endorsed motorcyclists to enhance their basic skills and help with personal risk assessment. Interactive classroom activities to improve perception and hazard awareness are combined with range exercises that enhance both basic skills and crash-avoidance skills. You will also learn how to improve braking and cornering finesse.

This is the public version of the Military SportBike RiderCourse.

Students must provide their own motorcycle. Mopeds are NOT permitted. Three-wheeled motorcycles are NOT permitted. Sharing is NOT permitted. The motorcycle must be titled, registered, and insured; and it must display a valid license plate. Students must provide proof of insurance, and the motorcycle must pass a safety inspection.

Prerequisites

• Motorcycle endorsement.
• Ownership of a motorcycle that is titled, registered, and insured.
• Considerable street-riding miles.
• Valid email address on file with the College.

STUDENTS MUST PROVIDE THEIR OWN SUPPLIES AND PROTECTIVE RIDING GEAR INCLUDING:
•Driver's License || •Writing Utensil || •DOT-compliant Motorcycle Helmet || •Eye Protection•Long-sleeved Jacket or Long-sleeved Shirt || •Full-fingered Gloves || •Heavy-duty Pants (denim or better) || •Boots that cover ankle & have a hard sole•Rain Gear || •Cold-weather Gear || •Plenty of Water! || •A Packed Lunch || •Lots of Snacks

COURSE REGISTRATION:  Registration can be done online at www.schoolcraft.edu/ocelotaccess, by mail, or in-person at the McDowell Student Center on Schoolcraft's Main Campus in Livonia. To secure your spot in the course, we recommend online or in-person registration as they are processed immediately.
