YATES CIDER MILL (ROCHESTER HILLS), Saturday, October 5 with KSU @ 11:45 AM from Motor City Harley-Davidson.

After our monthly General Membership Meeting we'll ride out to Yates Cider Mill in Rochester Hills, about 1 hour, 31 miles, for cider and donuts (many other treats are also available).

Pre-ride safety meeting at 11:30 AM with KSU at 11:45 AM.

Yates is Michigan's older working water powered mill, family owned and operated for over 160 years.

Back when the nation was in the middle of the Civil War, back when Abraham Lincoln was president, Caroline and William Yates purchased 80 acres of newly settled countryside along the banks of the Clinton River in Oakland County, Michigan.  They started a business with a saw mill in 1863 and quickly expanded to grind a variety of grains, and then pressing apples in 1874. A larger building, the one which still stands today, was built in 1894, at which time the Yates focused the business solely on cider production. Now celebrating 160 years of continuous operation, the mill has aged well with very little change!

Yates Cider Mill offers endless fall fun with fresh cider, warm donuts, and bakery treats available daily. Explore our trails and picnic areas, or spend some time visiting the farm animals. Enjoy delicious food, including hot dogs, roasted corn or frankenmuth fudge! Stop by our apple tent for pre-bagged apples, or bag your own!
