Spenard Bike Week traces its roots to the legendary motorcycling heritage of Anchorage's historic Spenard district. What began years ago as a localized community block party hosted by the Anchorage House of Harley-Davidson has grown into Alaska's premier summer motorcycling destination. It celebrates the unique camaraderie of riding in the Last Frontier, blending massive local business partnerships, deep community charity support, and epic scenic highway miles.

• The Dates: Sunday, August 2nd through Sunday, August 9th, 2026.
• The Hub: House of Harley-Davidson, located at 4334 Spenard Road, Anchorage, AK 99517.
• All major events, check-ins, and group rides roll out directly from this central dealer campus.

🎪 Main Events & Activities

The dealer layout is packed with events all week long, ensuring there is never a dull moment when the kickstands are down:

• The Great Alaska Motorcycle Sweepstakes: The legendary multi-dealership sweepstakes draws to its final close, where a lucky finalist will walk away with a brand-new Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
• Biker Game Night & Movie Screenings:  Evening entertainment features outdoor theater screens, motorcycle trivia, and competitive skill challenges.
• The Taste of Spenard Food Truck Carnival:  Parked directly under the iconic Spenard windmill by Chilkoot Charlie's, look forward to massive local food vendors including Lucky Wishbone, Bearz Den Delights, B Street Gumbo, and Garcia's Cantina.
• Local Artisan & Gear Vendors: Over 20 custom commercial vendors and regional artisans will line the open-air layout, showing off custom riding gear, local Alaskan art, and performance parts.

🏍️ Scenic Group Rides

The week features daily structured destination rides showcasing Alaska’s world-class highway passes:

• The Kenai Peninsula Run:  A deep southern push down the stunning Seward Highway, tracing Turnagain Arm down toward the Kenai Peninsula dealership hub.
• The Mat-Su Valley Explorer:  A northern ride pushing past the Chugach mountains into Wasilla, linking up directly with the partner crew at Denali Harley-Davidson.
